The 2011 ABSA Kirkwood Wildsfees is raising the bar on its winning recipe of wild activities, including live performances by top South African artists, a wine, jazz and gourmet food lifestyle expo, Kids Zone fun, adrenaline rides, 300 specialist stalls, a massive beer tent, the Isuzu 4x4 Extreme Challenge, a premier game auction, agricultural and wildlife expos, and much more...

Continuing its commitment to nature conservation, the 2011 ABSA Kirkwood Wildsfees is hosting a sustainable energy expo for the first time.

Kom kuier saam op die rooi bank, die Absa bank. En die gaste in ons sitkamer is van die
land se bekendste akteurs en sangers.

“Op die rooi bank” nooi die gehoor om saam te kom gesels (en te skinder) oor die
eetgewoontes en wyngewoontes van beroemdes en bekendes, mense wat elke dag op TV
in ons sitkamer kuier. Dit is ‘n program propvol kos- en wynstories.

Voor in die koor sal Lizz Meiring (Mollie & Wors faam) wees wat saam met die kosen
wynkenner Francois Ferreira geheime resepte sal uitruil en oor ‘n glasie vonkel wyn
gesels. Die bekende sanger Jak de Priester sal die gehoor neem na sy kombuis by die
huis en vertel hoe hy graag sy gaste onthaal.

Wat die vertonings nog meer opwindend maak is dat een gelukkige persoon in die gehoor
daagliks die kans sal kry om saam met ons bekende gaste op die rooi bank te kom sit en
saam te klets.

Die gehoor sal geleentheid kry om vrae te vra terwyl hulle kan weglê aan ‘n lekker bord
peuselhappies asook ‘n heerlike wynproe van bekende landgoed se wyne.

En wat is ‘n lekker kuier nou sonder lekker musiek? Goeie wyn, uitstekende geselskap
en’n bietjie jazz musiek (Thomas Dancer op saxofoon) maak dit ‘n vertoning vol pret
terwyl daar ook heelwat CD geskenkpakkies is vir ‘n paar gelukkige lede in die gehoor.
Lekker lag, lekker klets, lekker kos en lekker wyn is aan die orde van die dag op die rooi
bank by Absa Kirkwood Wildsfees.
